Happy dad day

On Sunday X ate his first real food. We went to the local Indian food restaurant after church where he had some Dal Makhui, lentils stewed in onions tomato and butter. He loved them. However, he did not like the spinach and mushroom mix that we also tried to feed him.

His latest conquests at home include: blueberries, butter nut squash, zucchini, black beans, apples, and tomatoes.

here are some pics.

Long time

Sorry it has been so long since the last post but we have been very busy.

The weather the last week has been horrible and we are suffering for it. Apparently when the fools that lived in our house before us, finished the basement, they did a shotty job patching some weird metal contraption into the hole that was once a window. This shotty patch job gave out at midnight on this past friday resulting in the flooding of our basement. The issue is that once something like that starts it seams to be unrepairable without some major changes. Well I am going to be attempting to make these changes if we can ever seem to dry out. Last night the small attempt I made to patch said hole proved sucessfull until 5:00 am when the waterfall started again and the water table began to rise. Luckily the power did not go out this time and the sump helped me to bail us out. All in all, we have been very lucky in our attempts to keep things dry and have not incurred any major loss, except for one wall.

The good news is in regards to the boys development. This AM when Karen checked on him, he was sitting up in his crib waiting for her arrival. He also has sprouted two more teeth. A few weekends ago We went up north to k3, and he was able to meet some of my cousins, and a large number of the miller/frizzell/sossamon clan. It was very fun. In the world of food, we are currently eating about one cup of ... carrots, peas, green beans, squash, rutabaga, beets, sweet potatoes, broccoli, apricots, bananas, papaya... (just pick two), and about two cups of cereal a day, along with somewhere close to 40 oz of breast milk/formula. Surprisingly he is not a sausage-baby yet. We also have an occasional bagel to help us learn to eat solids.

That is about all for now. Hopefully I will have up some new pics soon.
