LATE
so we have had an interesting last couple of weeks. This past weekends was the boys first birthday. We had breakfast with my grandmother, then went to chicago to hang with some friends and go to the new lego discovery center. The next day we went to see my other grandmother before returning home. Karen spent the weekend and half the week in chicago at a convention. Tomorrow we are going to our one year pediatric appointment, and having our official one year photos taken. Then this weekend we are going to louisville for some trick or treating and a birthday party. Unfortunately we have been without a camera for the past few weeks (i left it at a friends house) but we have it back now and will be sure to include photos from the next few days. so sorry about the laziness and the lack of updated blog, and for not wishing the boy happy birthday in a timely fashion. I will try to be more on the ball over the next couple days.
so here is one quick pic untill next week

Painting and pumpkins
If you have not figured it out yet, Karen has had the last few days off, and we are trying to make the most of these days with the weather being a beautiful as it has been. Yesterday we took our second and third trip to the pumpkin patch and we went out and painted a plate for the boy to use for his first birthday cake in a few weeks.
Here are some pics.

One step closer
A big congratulations needs to go out to my wife. She had her first interview today looking for a full time emergency medicine physician position in the community. It is at a local hospital which is good since we are hoping to stay in indy at least for another few years. I am sure she did great and am eagerly anticipating the bidding war to see who gets the honor of her employ, and to see where we are going to live.

i am a dance machine
SO, occasionally Xavier will here something in the background that instantly gets his attention, and make him start to "dance" otherwise known as bounce in place. He is actually getting really good at it, and occasionally is able to stay on beat. The four most prominent examples of this I can think of are 1) Milly Cyrus on the today show singing "7 things" 2) In the grocery store when "silly love song" by wings came on 3) when we went to see Iorn Man, they play the beginning of some AC/DC song during the closing credits... he really liked that one. 4)when either the Ethan Allen or the Mitch Daniels (mayor of Indianapolis) commercial comes on...they actually have a really catchy beat.
Well today on today, the pretenders came on and sang a song from there new cd and Xavier really dug it. He started dancing right when I was getting ready to take Arthur out, so i had to walk past him to grab the camera. Usually as soon as he sees the camera he stops what he is doing and tries to grab it. However today I did get a small glimpse of his mad dancing skills.
and here it is.
